The Pink Flamingo Relay is a fixture of each IGLA meet, one event which is not found in a regular Masters swim meet. It's typically the last event of the meet and the actual swimming of it (four legs of one length each, passing a plastic pink flamingo as a baton) is often anticlimactic. The real focus is the presentation - each team is in costume (usually drag) and has a theme. As they are announced, the teams enter the pool deck and parade/perform for the audience.
